Audience expectations-Latasha
For the audience expectations, I had filmed the video in two different ways as I wanted to see the experiment with the way that it looks and challenge the conventions of an 'traditional' interview 'style'. I also felt that by doing that I wanted to make the video have a 'homey' type feel to it. Rather than an stick to the traditional interview type look.
Preliminary Task Animatic-Latasha
The animatic from the preliminary Task is quite simple and more shots have been added to it. however when we first created the idea for our preliminary task, we had not made a storyboard or animatic. This was because we were running ti a schedule and did not have time to create a storyboard nor an animatic.

American Pyscho Poster Analysis-Latasha
I chose to analyse the poster of American Psycho, as I have already analysed the first 9-frames of the films opening. The fact that Patrick(Christian Bale) is looking away from the knife in his hand immediately suggests a that he has an alter ego and that he is possibly not happy with his present life or alter ego.
Target Audience-Latasha
The target audience for our film, I think that would be 15-24 year olds. The film is based on a teenager and her struggle with her state of mind and other problems she has in her life. Most teenagers in today's society would be able to link with Sarah's life quite well. I also think that the film does not need to be aimed at any younger children because of the rating of our film. I think that most people would enjoy our film as it is quite mind-boggling and focuses more on how a person's state of mind and how it can lead them to situations that can't be changed or solved. I think that it is easier when you are aiming at a younger audience because of increase in technology use as you can use viral campaigns and then make it more easier to increase the word of mouth and the 'buzz' of the film before its released.
Media Institution
Dark Castle Entertainment
Dark Castle Entertainment
The production company whose main idea is to produce horror films. They would be good to help distribute our film. Although our film does not far under the horror genre, I think that they would be a good company to use as they specialise in films that can come quite close to the horror genre. Specifically because our film is a Psychological Thriller. Our film is aiming for a low-bugdet and I think it would be good as they could be able to focus more on the story rather than the effects. However, the effects will be focused on mainly when the masked figures appear and in scenes where the audience start to see thew deterioration of Sarah's mental sate of mind.

- Gained critical acclaim through the Saw(franchise)
Twisted Pictures
This company again produce horror films. The most famous would be the Saw films. While most people would say that the films were horror based, I would argue that they can also be closely linked with the Psychological Thriller genre in the way that the characters have to figure out why they were put in the situations they wake up. Again, I think that this company would be good to use as they would be interested in they way that our film works and how it plays with the audiences' minds. Although they do produce high-budgeted films, I think that our film would interest them as they could possibly give us a bigger budget in where we would focus on effects a little more. However, I also feel that we do not need a big budget to attract well-known production and distribution companies.

Premlinary Task-Latasha
Here is the Preliminary task:
I was in a different group in my preliminary task. We chose to experiment with different shots whilst still following the 180 degree rule. We had trouble trying to get the think of different ways we could experiment with the shots whilst still keeping the task quite simple. We decided that by having a very simple script, it would be easier when focusing on the shots. this is because it gave us more time to focus on setting up the different shots and angles. We felt that we wanted to challenge the conventions of using the 180 degree rule. Although, we have clearly stuck to it, we have used different angles and eye-lines to make a more effective way of the showing a conversation. An example would be during the using of the two-shot-profile as it is a good way of showing the the entire props, costume and the action that one of the actors is currently doing whilst still keeping to the 180 degree rule.
